Wanting money does not explain a betrayal

The interesting distinction is between wanting greater security and deciding that other people are expendable in its pursuit. Treating both as greed would leave the ambitious sister with little room to be a person. The drama’s reported setup becomes richer if the means she chooses matter as much as the future she wants.

Muskaan needs similar attention. Valuing relationships can be generous, but generosity does not require accepting every demand. A character whose goodness consists entirely of yielding can gradually disappear from her own story.
